What makes someone leave everything and everyone they know and love, and forego their familiar culture, to make their way into an unknown future in an unknown land? What makes someone stay where they live despite hardship and deprivation? This documentary follows several Cubans from different walks of life who love their country but struggle with the conflict to stay or leave an increasingly dysfunctional government and rapidly collapsing economy.

A pair of detectives arrives at a strange crime scene where a body has gone missing, and as they dig deeper into the investigation, they find themselves hunted by the very thing they’re trying to unravel.

An illustrator travels to the countryside with her dog in search of inspiration, but soon finds herself besieged by a strange entity that seems to be her own self. Representations of the mind, guilt, fear, dreams, and individual reality raise questions about different layers of the psyche.

It satirically portrays how the figure of the director is inflated into an untouchable myth. A critique of the industry’s obsession with genius—even when there’s nothing to direct.

Alejo Menjura is a marathon runner who challenges himself to run 128 kilometers along Colombia’s roads. An emotional journey that reveals his passion for training, family, and the roots that connect him to his past. A story of obstacles overcome and many dreams still waiting to be fulfilled.
